The printing industry became my bread and butter career, working at Pettys in Leeds. Cliff runs tours and events around West Yorkshire, for example, The Leeds Owl Trail&rsquo;, Sketch Club Social and tours for the Civic Trust&nbsp;</span><br /><br /><br /><span>As an artist Clifford opened&nbsp;<span>&nbsp;</span>the &lsquo;Clifford Stead Gallery&rsquo; in 2000, in Chapel Allerton. This is when I am most inspired by the effects of changing light on the almost unseen. These shifting momentary perceptions are then translated into pastel paintings when back in my studio.
